Our Social Value team have been celebrating Westminster Enterprise week by running workshops and further driving engagement within their local communities and schools. After sponsoring the event in 2018, this year we wanted to get involved on a practical level and saw this as a great opportunity to create more Social Value on top of the existing work we are doing with the Council.

Westminster Enterprise Week:

Westminster Enterprise Week is a way for anyone aged between 11 to 24 to kick-start their business careers. Taking place every November, the week is packed with guest speaker events, interactive workshops, collaborative challenges, and workplace tours to inspire young people to think like an entrepreneur.

Marketing Workshop:

Calling upon Matrix Resources to support some of our Social Value workshops, our Marketing team stepped in to share their expertise to help students with their upcoming January exams. Looking into how companies like Matrix SCM use the theory of a Marketing Strategy and Process to get people interested in our services.

On top of exploring how Matrix SCM utilise Marketing, we also put theory into practice getting the students to plan the marketing behind another workshop. Coming up with positioning statements and taglines like ‘Markit’ and creating flyers, the students did an amazing job and we wish them all the best in their upcoming exams!

Overview of Enterprise Week:

Enterprise Week has been a fantastic opportunity to work with communities across Westminster and was a great addition to the work our Social Value team has been doing. We look forward to doing more work with Westminster and other boroughs across London.
