Transforming Culture: Challenging Times:

The theme across the conference was Transforming Culture in Challenging Times, focusing on HR’s key role in shaping our organisational cultures in responding to current and anticipated sector changes.

A complete list of the anticipated sector changes can be found on the UHR website, here however we have dissected a few of the points and explored how Matrix SCM have been helping Universities combat these issues:

Increased pressure for value for money:

We help our clients reduce their year-on-year temporary agency spend by 11%, we achieve this by actively managing recruitment processes through our market-leading system and the contracts with agencies that are supplying you, staff.

The value doesn’t just come from saving money, we also save time by removing the need to call and negotiate with multiple recruiters. Our technology will scour as many as 2,500 UK based agencies, which significantly speeds the process up whilst keeping costs low. Ensuring that you are always getting the best value for your money.

Ensuring our organisational cultures are truly diverse:

With your end to end procurement running through a system like Matrix CR, you have access to our reporting suite of enhanced reports as well as our Demand Management Module which gives you access to real-time management information. Offering insight into expenditure and demographics that can help you understand how diverse your workforce is.

Sustainable Operational models and skill sets in response to Digitalisation:

Working with over 2,500 recruitment agencies across the UK, we can support your organisation as you look to hire different and new skill sets. As an organisation, we actively build and maintain supply chains across different job categories, a part of this we also hold supplier forums as it is an effective way to bring new agencies into our existing clients’ supply chains. Helping you to evolve your workforce in response to changes in digitalisation.

Discovery Audits:

To help identify opportunities for improvement, we offered Universities throughout the event access to Free Discovery Audits that review all your key processes and challenges. We are still actively offering these reviews, so if you would like us to explore areas including but not limited too: Costs and Potential Savings, Compliance, Integrated Technology Approaches, Quality of Candidates and Supply Chain, Off Contract Spend, as well as Process Efficiency, get in touch here to arrange your free Discovery.
