This week we supported Liverpool City Council in sourcing 100+ care assistants to help during the Covid-19 crisis. Going the extra mile, we absorbed the administration resource, whereby creating 100+ placements in our system and conducting the pre-employment checks.
How We Supported Liverpool City Council:
In October we will have been working with Liverpool City Council for over 10 years as their Neutral Vendor Managed Service provider for Temporary Staffing. During this partnership we have been growing together to where we are now, supporting them during this crisis.
With such a large demand for care assistants, our role was to manage the requirements through the Matrix CR.Net system which manages the end-to-end procurement of staff. Releasing the roles through the system to our pre-approved suppliers, Liverpool City Council were safe in the knowledge that they would have full visibility of all the roles being recruited for at the best price. Our process ensures 100% compliance by ensuring all workers pass pre-employment checks before placement, to support this large recruitment drive, we absorbed the administration of this. Ensuring that Liverpool had the right talent, at the right time.
Importance of a robust Supply Chain:
This level of requirement is not uncommon for Matrix SCM, especially at the moment with the Covid-19 crisis. We are experiencing this across our client-base. As an example, during the first week of lockdown we had requirements for over 100+ Care Workers across Lancashire. The key to supporting our clients during this time is our robust supply chain of recruitment agencies, that include both large and local suppliers that have equal access to the requirements.
Neutrally releasing roles to a range of suppliers is key to getting the fulfilment rates needed to support the front line during the crisis. As an insight, over 90% of the Care Workers across 16 different residential homes were filled by local agencies in Lancashire. Before adopting the Matrix SCM true Neutral Vendor Managed Service, these roles were all trying to be filled by one agency.
We continue to support our clients:
Building on these insights, it is important to note as a company we are running business as usual. Following Government guidelines our teams are working from home supporting our clients; from implementing new contracts remotely (find out more here) to helping them re-deploy local workers (find out more here). As always we are here to support our clients.
