This week our Social Value team took part in a Careers Fair held in the Walthamstow Assembly Hall. The Opportunities to Flourish Fair based in Waltham Forest was a great opportunity for young people to speak to employers and providers about life in the workplace and find opportunities to match their interests.

What happened at the Fair?

Young people were able to get expert advice from Sixth Forms, Colleges, Employers and training providers about life in the workplace and find voluntary opportunities to match their interests.

Aimed at 14 to 24-year olds, the Fair was an excellent opportunity to attend an event where both education and routes into the workplace can be assessed side by side.

Matrix SCM were delighted to be invited to attend, our team had some fascinating conversations with young people, and met future doctors, software developers, and even film directors!

Waltham Forest Council is committed to promoting meaningful opportunities for local young people as part of their “Creating Futures for Young People” initiative and we look forward to continuing our work with the Careers Service.
