We had a great time at the second London Collaboration meeting last week. Having been awarded the London Collaboration Neutral Vendor Lot 1a we spoke to a group of London Authorities about our Neutral Vendor Service. Helping London Authorities understand how they can easily source specialist recruitment agencies, local SME’s, and use direct sourcing capabilities through Talent Pool.
Insight from Enfield Council:
During the presentation, Julie Mimnagh from Enfield Council talked about their relationship with Matrix SCM. Having been partnered since 2008 and now in our 4th Generation under the ESPO MStar2 framework, she gave some great insight into the fantastic work we have collaborated on over the last 11 years.
Managing Temporary and Permanent Spend:
On top of the cashable savings and visibility that come from using a Neutral Vendor model, we have been supporting Enfield as they look to decrease their agency usage. Supported by our Business Management team, we have been downloading reports from CR.Net to help them make data-driven decisions. This has helped Enfield to transition temporary workers to permanent and identify where they can recruit full-time positions as opposed to agency. By managing their spend and working together, we are helping them to further decrease costs through the contract.
Supply Chain Management:
Where we have identified hard to fill roles such as Youth Offending Services, Matrix have set up internal engagement panels, supplier communications and meetings with hiring managers. Helping drive conversations, challenge requirements and ensure roles are fulfilled in client set deadlines.
Supporting Recruitment through IR35:
With complete transparency on the system, CR.Net shows exactly who is inside IR35 and gives Enfield the data so that staff can confidently have conversations and challenge where needed. Enfield are confident that all workers are compliant.
Driving Social Value in Enfield Council:
The Matrix SCM Social Value team have participated in a series of events to help drive engagement in Enfield’s local communities. From supporting Council charities such as the Nightingale Cancer Support by taking part in midnight walks, celebrating International Woman’s Day at a Council led event, to supporting local Schools and Enfield Careers Services with employability workshops.
Thank you, London Collaboration and Enfield:
We want to thank everyone involved in the London Collaboration for helping at the event, and special thanks to Julie Mimnagh from Enfield Council for helping us on the day and providing insight into our partnership.
