We are delighted to share that Lambeth Council has awarded Matrix SCM with the new Agency Worker Contract. Lambeth used the YPO framework Lot 1 Managed Services for Contingent Labour as the basis for a mini-competition exercise. Matrix SCM were the highest scoring provider, demonstrating best in market service delivery and value for money.

Lambeth Council has been a Matrix SCM customer since 2008 and this decision demonstrates the delivery of high quality service in which we pride ourselves on.

Barry Moseley, Managing Director of Matrix SCM stated “To be awarded the contract for a third four-year term is fantastic for Matrix SCM. Whilst it’s important that we continue to win new customer contracts in order to grow, this re-award is especially pleasing as it confirms that our service delivery model and our partnership with Lambeth Council is sustainable and continues to deliver over and above the Council’s expectations”.

Matrix SCM currently provide Lambeth Council with a managed service solution which incorporates a contract management team and tailored supply chain for each of the Council’s 18 job categories. This is underpinned by our intuitive technology, Matrix-CR.Net. The Council has a significant requirement for agency workers within Social Care Qualified and Unqualified. Lambeth currently process 895,000 temporary agency worker hours through CR.Net each year. We are delivering annual cashable savings of £4m.

Julian Panter, Business Director also commented, “We’ve made great progress working in partnership with the Council over the past nine years. We’re really excited to take the contract in a new direction which will support Lambeth in improving worker quality, whilst consistently delivering cost efficiencies. Our slight shift in model will assist the Borough in reducing reliance on contingent resource, particularly within Social Care.
