Statement of Work
Sep 2020

We are excited to announce that Lambeth Council have extended their Neutral Vendor Managed Service contract! Having worked together since 2008, this new contract sees our partnership grow to include Statement of Work on top of the successful management of their Contingent Labour. This will help them to drive further savings and efficiencies across all their procurement spend.

Introducing the Matrix SCM Statement of Work Solution

As a Managed Service Provider, our Business Managers are always looking for ways to strategically support our clients and ensure they are getting best value from their contract. With a key part of the extension involving exploring ways we can drive more efficiencies and more savings, our Business Managers introduced Lambeth to our Statement of Work solution; providing the Council with different pathways for Agency, Consultancy and SoW procurement that will help them make more savings when they are hiring bulk requirements of 5 people or more. We piloted the solution, helping them to manage their consultants that were working outside of IR35 with great success, which led to rolling the service out across the Council.

12 Years of Neutral Vendor Managed Service

Although we have been focusing above on the introduction of Statement of Work, we have also continually been working with Lambeth to improve their Contingency Resourcing by introducing new developments such as bulk notifications and decision wizards on our system to further improve processes for hiring managers. Our Operations team have also been working in partnership with the Council by providing 24/7 support for anyone needing help with the system. Martin Harpwood and James Lake are Lambeth’s On-Site Account Managers dedicating time to help with the Children and Adults Social Care receiving great feedback:

“I just wanted to say a big thanks for all your help in recruiting to my team. It has been really helpful when you have offered to chase up agencies, compliance docs etc. and has taken a lot of pressure off me having to do this. I really appreciate your assistance.”

Team Manager, Family Support & Child Protection

We will continue to work with teams across the Council to reduce requirements, running conference calls for Interim roles and managing bespoke processes for Paralegals and Park Attendant requirements.

Looking Forward to Continuing in Partnership

Our partnership has been running with great success; helping them to drive efficiency and value through their Neutral Vendor Managed Service contract for contingency labour – which is now being expanded to help them with their Statement of Work requirements as well. We are proud to be awarded this extension and are looking forward to working together to drive more value in the future.
