In our latest webinar we talked about how adopting Artificial Intelligence empowers HR Teams and increases productivity. Exploring how Technology can complete time intensive tasks quickly so that teams can save time and focus on more complex tasks. During the Webinar, Rachel Emery from Matrix SCM gave insight into our experience with Technology as a Managed Service Provider and Maurice Lawlor from our Talent Pool partner Elevate, provided insight into the power of Artificial Intelligence.

The session was part of the PPMA’s Sparkle and Learn webinar series hosted, so Sue Williams was on hand as the host and provided some great questions.

Removing the Fear and Empowering Teams

When speaking to the market, there seems to be a fear around adopting Artificial Intelligence as it could take our jobs, however this is not the case. Technology exists to support teams, automating manual time intensive tasks so that teams can focus their time on more complex workload.

A great example of the impact AI can have on hiring processes is the shortlisting of applications for a job posting. On the morning of the webinar, a job posting we were managing had 109 applications come through. Asking a member of the team to read through all of these CV’s is time intensive, however AI can quickly benchmark the applications against the job specifications, match skills and create a shortlist. In this scenario, technology has completed the heavy lifting of reviewing CV’s, so the job now becomes getting a member of your team to focus on the complex task of reviewing the shortlist.

By removing the manual reviewing of 100+ CV’s, you are empowering teams to invest the time they were going to spend reading CV’s into other complex and vital tasks of the process such as speaking to candidates.

What is the impact?

Looking back over conversations with our clients, we explored how our technology has supported them by automating processes and delivering better outcomes with more control. Our Neutral Vendor Managed Service model for contingent resourcing is a great example of this, removing administration tasks so that hiring managers have the ability to quickly release roles to pre-approved supply chains of recruitment agencies at the click of a button.

“It is not necessarily about cutting heads, if we are using digital to its full advantage then what we have is staffing resources that we can use to better impact our residents.” Improvement Manager, Thurrock Council

Technology is great; however, People are a key element to success. As a Managed Service Provider, we have Advisors who support users through the system with day to day enquiries 24/7, as well as Business Managers who strategically support clients and ensure you are getting the most from your contract.

“Throughout this substantial transition process, Matrix have been very supportive and always responded promptly to provide advice and guidance.” Acting Head of IT, Enfield Council.

By combining Technology and a Managed Service, HR Teams can embrace technology to remove heavy lifting tasks and focus on their complex workload. Automating tasks, driving visibility and control of your processes through reporting. Combining this with expert staff who support the adoption of technology with day to day support, as well as strategic support to understand the data. Technology and Managed Service Providers can empower teams to help them meet their goals.
