With Matrix SCM recruiting to support continued growth, we caught up with one of our new hires, Courtney, who recently joined the Operations Centre as a Client Support Advisor. In this short video she provides great insight into why she has joined Matrix SCM and what she enjoys about working with us:

What is a Client Support Advisor and what is your role? 

“A Client Support Advisor is pretty much an Account Manager role, just minus the sales. It’s working day-to-day with clients and suppliers to meet requirements for the Councils you look after.” 

“My day-to-day tasks involve answering emails and calls from clients and suppliers, finding shift cover where necessary and completing necessary checks on the Matrix system such as orders and pre-employment checks.” 

Why did you apply to work at Matrix SCM? 

“I applied for the Client Support Advisor position because it seemed like a very good opportunity with clear career progression and it is a position in which I can use all of my skills that I gained in previous roles.” 

What do you enjoy about working at Matrix SCM? 

“The most rewarding thing about being a Client Support Advisor is the level of responsibility and knowing you are in a position that plays a vital role within the business.” 

“Client Support Advisors have the opportunity to progress through the ranks at Matrix. Since I’ve been here, I’ve seen a number of new opportunities arise within the business. There are a number of people who have previously worked as Client Support Advisors who are now in different roles at the business.” 

Where do you see yourself in the future?  

“I see myself working at Matrix in 3 years’ time because there are many opportunities to grow within the business so I could progress into a different role. Also, the people here are so lovely and helpful and make you feel really welcome.”
