As today marks the fourth UK Employability Day, we’d like to take the opportunity to share some of our recent work from our Social Value team who spend a lot of time working in our client’s communities to drive Employability.

How does Matrix SCM support Employability?

Being a Managed Service Provider of Contingency Resourcing for Local Authorities and Government organisations across the UK, our Social Value team actively get involved with our client’s local communities. Working with Schools, Colleges, Charities, Social Enterprises and Community Groups to support people on their route to employment.

Our workshops are supported by volunteers from our supply chains of recruitment agencies, who provide valuable advice about the local job market as well as tips on how to succeed at interview and improve your CV.

What happens at these Employability Workshops?

This week we were in South London working with social enterprise Ranaisi, who run a number of different programmes that support people on their journey into work, equipping them with essential skills, knowledge, experience and opportunities. It was great to work with them and have the opportunity to engage with some of their fantastic clients.

As mentioned, we called upon volunteers from our supply chain to provide insight from a recruitment agencies perspective. So, we want to say a huge thank you to volunteers Charlie and Paul from Venn Group for supporting this event.
