News
With the transition to working from home, our teams continue to deliver business as usual. This includes our Social Value team who, during lockdown, have been finding new ways to deliver Social Value remotely.
Online Workshops
When we first went into lockdown, our Social Value team had to transition their on-site workshops, to online webinars. Working with Susan Hickley the Apprenticeships and Placements Manager at Enfield Council, our Regeneration Manager, Siobhan Goss, organised a series of online sessions for apprentices to talk CVs, interviews and writing the perfect supporting statement.
“I definitely miss being out in the community and meeting people but it’s great to continue to be able to continue delivering Social Value with Matrix SCM clients from my living room.”
Siobhan Goss, Regeneration Manager, Matrix SCM.
These interactive sessions were supported with one to one guidance for Apprentices CVs and also explored some documents that Siobhan has been creating such as ‘Writing a Professional Email’. This document is part of a support package for our clients to continue to deliver Social Value to their local communities after the session.
Feedback from Enfield
Running these sessions for Enfield’s apprentices it's great to still be able to support our client’s Social Value agendas, even during these challenging times we face. Focusing in on the first webinar of a series of events , the feedback was great. Here's what Susan Hickey had to say:
“Thank you, Siobhan, for delivering this very useful and beneficial workshop to the apprentices. Even in a challenging time you were able to adapt and bring some positivity over the misery we face. I have to say that I learnt a lot and have taken a lot of your advice and suggestions on board. The presentation was well structured and easy to understand and delivered at a good pace. It is clear from your presenting that you have expertise in the field. As a result, you have instilled confidence in the apprentices as you clearly know the industry well. Again, thank you!”
