Matrix SCM are proud to announce that we are continuing to partner with Slough under a Hybrid model following a successful tender under ESPO’s Mstar3. Having worked together for the last 7 years under a Neutral Vendor Model, we are excited to be growing with the Council and continue to support them with their temporary staffing spend through a time when they are going through big regeneration projects.

Insight into Slough Borough Council:

With Matrix SCM’s Neutral Vendor model being successful for the last 7 years, the next step to continually drive value through the contract was to explore our higher-touch flexible Hybrid Model. This approach involves utilising a mix of Neutral Vendor and closed Supply Chain recruitment pathways, introducing an On-Site Account Manager to pro-actively support and challenge hiring managers going through the processes. Slough faces challenges being outside London, so we are excited to continue to work with them, work towards their goals, reduce agency numbers and help them get more savings.

Implementation insight:

With the Covid-19 crisis, we have experienced delays with creating an On-Site presence following Government guidelines to work from home. So our approach has changed to virtually meet every single service area in the mean-time, to gather their feedback and understand what we can do to support them to meet their goals and considerations.

Tracking success of transition from Neutral Vendor to Hybrid Model:

The main goals of the contract we have with Slough are to focus on further increasing quality and continue to drive savings. This is where Matrix SCM’s On-Site Account Manager can help us meet these soft key performance indicators together. Providing a higher touch approach that drives initiatives to pro-actively work with suppliers and managers to support the process and increase the value Slough are receiving from the contract.
