Neath Port Talbot 2nd Generation Neutral Vendor

Matrix SCM are proud to announce that we have partnered with Neath Port Talbot Council to provide Neutral Vendor Managed Services for Temporary Staffing under the NPS Framework. This is a second-generation contract where they are transitioning from a different Neutral Vendor provider onto the Matrix SCM model from April 2020.

 

Insight into Neath Port Talbot Council:

The majority of Neath Port Talbot's headcount was Refuse and Waste, with two main agencies being used to fulfil the roles through the incumbent managed service provider. With one of the agencies causing problems, such as workers going on-site with lack of PPE equipment, Neath Port Talbot's Business Manager has been working with the Council to expand the supply chain. After transitioning the current supply chain across, our Business Manager went on-site, introducing and exploring new suppliers that could deliver the right talent, at the right time with the right equipment.

 

Implementation Insight:

The transition of workers has been smooth, all placements were on the system and ready for the go live. Most of the implementation was completed remotely due to the effects of Covid-19. However we followed the normal process ensuring everyone was informed throughout by digitally supporting stakeholders with Briefings, Calls, Training and PDF’s.

Next Steps as a 2nd Generation Neutral Vendor:

Having implemented their new contract and started to expand their supply chain with their Business Manager. The next steps of the new Matrix SCM contract is to increase visibility through the system, take control of their recruitment and start driving down costs through the contract.
