London Borough of Waltham Forest

London Borough of Waltham Forest has been working with Matrix SCM since 2012 originally under a Neutral Vendor Model. Still, with the option to extend their contract, the Council considered the market as part of an exercise and decided to extend their contract under Matrix SCM’s Hybrid Solution to showcase they are getting the best services in the market.

Project brief:

Having been supporting by Matrix SCM for the last 7 years with a Neutral Vendor Managed Service Model, the goal was to maintain and look for further improvements on their current model. On top that they also wanted to explore additional services that could support the goals of the council such as community engagement through Social Value.

Solutions:

London Borough of Waltham Forest re-awarded Matrix SCM under our Hybrid Vendor Managed Service solution. Our Hybrid Model is a great flexible approach that combines the traditional Neutral Vendor Service that the Council was used to with on-site support to further increase fulfilment and decrease recruitment spend.

As part of the exercise to further help the council meet their goals, we ran immersion sessions when securing the extension and included support from our Social Value team to help drive community engagement. So far, the Hybrid model has been a great success with on-site support helping the London Borough of Waltham Forest make a 1% saving on annual recruitment spend in the first month of the new model.
