
Matrix SCM are proud to announce that we have partnered with East Hertfordshire Council as their Neutral Vendor Managed Service provider of temporary staff. Transitioning from a Preferred Suppliers List (PSL), this first-generation contract will drive down recruitment costs and provide visibility over spend and headcount through our system CR.Net.
Working with a Preferred Suppliers List meant that Hiring Managers at East Hertfordshire Council were investing time phoning agencies and releasing requirements under different terms. The main goal of the new contract was to drive down savings, standardise contracts with agencies and make the hiring process more efficient. At Matrix SCM when we transition a supply chain onto our Neutral Vendor model, on average we convert 98% of existing suppliers to equal or better terms; supporting Hiring Managers to utilise the same agencies quickly and efficiently through our system. This also presents the opportunity to access other suppliers that are proven in procuring for roles to drive fulfilment and further savings.
As a first-generation customer, our Implementation Team ensured they spoke to every Head of Service at East Hertfordshire Council before setting them up on the system; starting conversations about the new processes and building manager buy-in to the system. Everything went smoothly with the implementation; managers were trained on CR.Net, agencies were transitioned onto the new contract, and existing placements were loaded for visibility of spend and headcount.
Now that agencies and workers have been transitioned onto the new contract, the main goal is to drive savings. The teams at Matrix SCM will be supporting them through this process; exploring the new visibility of headcount and spend through CR.Net and helping them make data driven decisions to get the best value of the contract.
