As part of the Matrix SCM group, Matrix MM offers the public sector a compliant, consistent solution to procure Consultancy and Professional Services engagements. Our intuitive platform provides Contracting Authorities access to the suppliers they need via the most effective procurement route whether via a framework or open competition.
Established in early 2019, we have a growing Client base and due to a number of new Clients, we are looking to expand our procurement delivery team.
The Supplier Procurement Specialist role being hired will focus on a number of key priorities:
Supplier Engagement – Proactive and Reactive engagement of suppliers across all categories of spend supporting them through to accreditation. Working closely with the Procurement Delivery Manager to grow the depth and breadth of the Matrix MM supplier community.
Supplier Queries – Handling enquiries from suppliers ranging from requests for support with onboarding to the Matrix MM accredited supplier network, questions relating to process or invoicing or clarity relating to specific project to assist with a tender submission.
Customer Support – After an initial development period focusing on supplier support, the role will cross over into project management with a strong emphasis on Client relationship. Requirements of the role will then include assisting the customer with project creation and general process guidance, support with specification writing (where required) evaluation of supplier proposals and a key contact for Clients and suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Clients
- Provide support to our clients across all aspects of supplier engagement and project management.
- Assistance with any aspect of the project creation, delivery and final evaluation and contract award stages
Suppliers
- Managing the end-to-end supplier onboarding and accreditation process
- Researching and identifying suppliers that will be able to deliver excellent services to our clients requirements.
Essential Experience:
1-2 years experience in a B2B customer facing environment which encompasses the following skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication (face to face, phone and email)
- High quality Customer service
- Qualitative research (online) – an ability to be proactive and work using initiative.
- Administration – document preparation, spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel)
- Cross department engagement
