Frequently Asked Questions from Matrix MM clients

Q.
How long does it take to implement?
A.

This very much depends on the scope of the implementation, but the system can be set up within 1 week for urgent requirements, ranging to 4 weeks for full set up with user workflows.

Q.
Does Matrix MM share the Matrix SCM supply chain?
A.

No. Matrix MM suppliers are consultancies or service providers not recruitment agencies or self-employed workers. The onboarding process is similar, but they sign different supplier contracts – namely contracts to provide consultancy services.

Q.
Can I directly award a contract to named supplier via Matrix MM?
A.

Yes, albeit wherever possible Matrix MM will encourage a mini competition to achieve best-value.

Q.
How do I access Matrix MM via CR.Net
A.

We have created a “front-door” , single sign -on option so you can access MM via CR .Net . We have also embedded a decision tree option to help managers decide if they need a person or a SoW.

Q.
Is there a minimum or maximum spend via Matrix MM?
A.

No. Matrix MM would typically work with you for a pilot set of projects or perhaps in a single category of spend, with a view to developing a business case for further use or a mandated approach. The latter being the mechanism to get control and visibility over all spend.

Q.
Will this be delivered by my current Matrix SCM contacts?
A.

No. Matrix MM will assign a Procurement Business Partner as the primary point of contact for SoW activity. This person will also manage all SoW transactions. He/She will work alongside your Business Manager and will attend QBRs.

Q.
What are the costs involved or fees?
A.

Matrix MM charge 4.5% of the value of a work order for mini competitions and 2.25% for direct awards. These fees can be absorbed by the supplier or charged separately as additional fees.

Q.
How does Matrix MM ensure the consultancy delivers?
A.

All payments are linked to the successful delivery of outputs detailed in the SoW. No payments can be made unless the requirement owner confirms that delivery of a milestone has occurred. The Matrix MM has inbuilt mechanisms to automate this process with audit trails.

Q.
Do I need another call-off contract to add your solution onto my existing SCM contract?
A.

No. Your current Matrix SCM and the framework from which it has been down allows for SoW as an additional service and with listed pricing.
