As part of their response to the pandemic, in November we supported Cardiff Council employ over 300 staff for their test, trace and protect project through our Neutral Vendor Managed Service. Helping Cardiff to quickly adapt to the effects of the pandemic and get the temporary staff they needed for the project to ensure critical front-line services were not compromised.
With the project still on-going, we caught up with Christine Daly to understand how we have been supporting Cardiff Council:
“Test, Trace and Protect Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan at present has approximately 300 staff dealing with the cases and contacts of Covid-19. The number of staff increased dramatically during the first spike in cases last September, with staff numbers doubling in the space of a month.”
“We have successfully doubled our workforce; we couldn’t have done this without the support of Matrix SCM’s Team and the agencies who work with them. We have personal contact numbers and emails of support staff; no query or request is ever too much trouble. They go above and beyond what is needed to support with recruitment, timesheets and staff issues.”
“The system in places has made the whole recruitment process a much simpler and streamlined one, with all our needs in one place and with a very user friendly system.”
Matrix SCM have been working with Cardiff Council (Gyngor Caerdydd) since 2016 as their Neutral Vendor Managed Service Provider of temporary staff. Since partnering together, we have continued to drive savings, visibility and control of their agency staffing spend.
We have been supporting clients with Rapid Response projects, helping them to get the temporary staff they need while driving down costs. If you need help with a Rapid Response project, please reach out through our contact form below.
