Employability Workshops have been the mainstay of many of Matrix’s Social Value contributions throughout the department’s history. Recently, however, we’ve been able to expand our remit and expertise in order to meet some of the specific needs of our client organisations.
After being invited to provide employability workshops for aspiring care workers in Dudley, we were able to better understand the needs and opportunities of the local community. By observing the skills, training and mentorship available to learners, we have been able to advise them on the relevant employers, recruiters and career paths that will benefit them as individuals as well as the wider community.
Using our supply chain of recruitment experts, the Social Value team has been able to provide insightful employment advice, helping jobseekers to improve their CVs and interview skills. We have also expanded our service to offer complimentary one-to-one advice and guidance for those that request it. This means that from Hull to Waltham Forest we’ve been able to offer targeted support for those that need it most.
